IQ.Fishing Privacy Policy

Information We Collect
IQ.Fishing collects the following information when you use the app:
- Account information: Email address and display name via Google or Apple sign-in.
- Catch records: Species, weight, length, date, time, GPS location, and photos you choose to log.
- Device location: Used to display tide and weather conditions at your fishing location. Location is only accessed while the app is in use.
- Photos: Photos you upload are stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) and are only accessible to your account.
How We Use Your Information
- To store and display your catch history.
- To provide tide, weather, and solunar data relevant to your location.
- To identify fish species from photos using AI (Anthropic Claude).
- To improve app performance and fix issues.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We use the following third-party services:
- AWS (Amazon Web Services): Photo storage and API hosting.
- Firebase (Google): Authentication.
- Anthropic: AI-based species identification from photos.
- NOAA / Open-Meteo: Tide and weather data (no personal data shared).
Data Retention
Your catch records and photos are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual catches at any time from within the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below.
Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Photos and catch records are stored in access-controlled AWS infrastructure.
Children's Privacy
IQ.Fishing is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
